I am interested in awe. Where the colors of our everyday world meet and mingle is where awe inspiring magic happens.
Color is important to me. It is what I pay attention to most throughout my daily life. This has informed how I create ceramics. I love how colors react and change and inform one another on a form. I start with a form and can visualize from my color pallet what the colors could possibly be.
From dozens and dozens of experiments I have curated my current glaze palette to sing and dance with one another for endless possibilities of each unique form's relationship with the color that envelops it. Often mimicking scenery I find awe inspiring.
My goal is to invite the art of color into your daily routine. Art for daily use to stand out on your counter, table, or in your hands while gathering in the living room.
